In 1997 Edward D. Beheler began the work of cataloging the burials in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery by walking the cemetery and reading the tombstones. Many of the full birth and death dates listed here were researched by Edward and his wife Debra in the Social Security Death Index and the Kokomo Tribune obituaries. Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery opened in September 1951.
In Fall 2004 Edward and Debra started going through the cemetery records to add additional information to this database. The database includes searchable pdf maps with names of the those interred and entombed at Sunset. Acrobat Reader is needed to view these maps.
